Kyle Cassity is coming off a busy weekend, as he capped off his high school career by leading the Pinckneyville Panthers to a fourth place finish in the class 2A tournament, yet he doesn’t plan to take a break anytime soon. Cassity will be trippin’ tomorrow as he plans on visiting a Big Ten school, and he hopes to pick up another offer on the visit.
“I’m going up on an official visit to Michigan and coming back on Tuesday,” Cassity said. “I had a good time (at the state tournament). It didn’t come out the way we wanted it too, but it was certainly a time I will always remember,” he added.
According to Cassity, Michigan has not extended a scholarship offer yet, but some experts are speculating that Michigan plans on offering the 6-5 wing on the visit. “There is no scholarship offer yet,” affirmed Cassity. “I’m excited to get up and check stuff out. They are in the Big Ten, the coach seems like a nice guy, and distance isn’t real bad.”
Can we expect a verbal commitment if Michigan offers? “I don’t think I am going to make a decision on my visit to Michigan, even if they do offer. When I come back home I am going to weigh all my options.”
Cassity is still sitting on scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Albany, Evansville, Penn State, SIU-E, SLU, and UMKC.
